Romans 12

GNT

1 παρακαλῶ οὗν ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, διὰ τῶν οἰκτιρμῶν τοῦ θεοῦ, παραστῆσαι τὰ σώματα ὑμῶν θυσίαν ζῶσαν ἁγίαν εὐάρεστον τῶ θεῶ, τὴν λογικὴν λατρείαν ὑμῶν·

2 καὶ μὴ συσχηματίζεσθε τῶ αἰῶνι τούτῳ, ἀλλὰ μεταμορφοῦσθε τῇ ἀνακαινώσει τοῦ νοός, εἰς τὸ δοκιμάζειν ὑμᾶς τί τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ, τὸ ἀγαθὸν καὶ εὐάρεστον καὶ τέλειον.

3 λέγω γὰρ διὰ τῆς χάριτος τῆς δοθείσης μοι παντὶ τῶ ὄντι ἐν ὑμῖν μὴ ὑπερφρονεῖν παρ᾽ ὃ δεῖ φρονεῖν, ἀλλὰ φρονεῖν εἰς τὸ σωφρονεῖν, ἑκάστῳ ὡς ὁ θεὸς ἐμέρισεν μέτρον πίστεως.

4 καθάπερ γὰρ ἐν ἑνὶ σώματι πολλὰ μέλη ἔχομεν, τὰ δὲ μέλη πάντα οὐ τὴν αὐτὴν ἔχει πρᾶξιν,

5 οὕτως οἱ πολλοὶ ἓν σῶμά ἐσμεν ἐν χριστῶ, τὸ δὲ καθ᾽ εἷς ἀλλήλων μέλη.

6 ἔχοντες δὲ χαρίσματα κατὰ τὴν χάριν τὴν δοθεῖσαν ἡμῖν διάφορα, εἴτε προφητείαν κατὰ τὴν ἀναλογίαν τῆς πίστεως,

7 εἴτε διακονίαν ἐν τῇ διακονίᾳ, εἴτε ὁ διδάσκων ἐν τῇ διδασκαλίᾳ,

8 εἴτε ὁ παρακαλῶν ἐν τῇ παρακλήσει, ὁ μεταδιδοὺς ἐν ἁπλότητι, ὁ προϊστάμενος ἐν σπουδῇ, ὁ ἐλεῶν ἐν ἱλαρότητι.

9 ἡ ἀγάπη ἀνυπόκριτος. ἀποστυγοῦντες τὸ πονηρόν, κολλώμενοι τῶ ἀγαθῶ·

10 τῇ φιλαδελφίᾳ εἰς ἀλλήλους φιλόστοργοι, τῇ τιμῇ ἀλλήλους προηγούμενοι,

11 τῇ σπουδῇ μὴ ὀκνηροί, τῶ πνεύματι ζέοντες, τῶ κυρίῳ δουλεύοντες,

12 τῇ ἐλπίδι χαίροντες, τῇ θλίψει ὑπομένοντες, τῇ προσευχῇ προσκαρτεροῦντες,

13 ταῖς χρείαις τῶν ἁγίων κοινωνοῦντες, τὴν φιλοξενίαν διώκοντες.

14 εὐλογεῖτε τοὺς διώκοντας [ὑμᾶς], εὐλογεῖτε καὶ μὴ καταρᾶσθε.

15 χαίρειν μετὰ χαιρόντων, κλαίειν μετὰ κλαιόντων.

16 τὸ αὐτὸ εἰς ἀλλήλους φρονοῦντες, μὴ τὰ ὑψηλὰ φρονοῦντες ἀλλὰ τοῖς ταπεινοῖς συναπαγόμενοι. μὴ γίνεσθε φρόνιμοι παρ᾽ ἑαυτοῖς.

17 μηδενὶ κακὸν ἀντὶ κακοῦ ἀποδιδόντες· προνοούμενοι καλὰ ἐνώπιον πάντων ἀνθρώπων·

18 εἰ δυνατόν, τὸ ἐξ ὑμῶν μετὰ πάντων ἀνθρώπων εἰρηνεύοντες·

19 μὴ ἑαυτοὺς ἐκδικοῦντες, ἀγαπητοί, ἀλλὰ δότε τόπον τῇ ὀργῇ, γέγραπται γάρ, ἐμοὶ ἐκδίκησις, ἐγὼ ἀνταποδώσω, λέγει κύριος.

20 ἀλλὰ ἐὰν πεινᾷ ὁ ἐχθρός σου, ψώμιζε αὐτόν· ἐὰν διψᾷ, πότιζε αὐτόν· τοῦτο γὰρ ποιῶν ἄνθρακας πυρὸς σωρεύσεις ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ.

21 μὴ νικῶ ὑπὸ τοῦ κακοῦ, ἀλλὰ νίκα ἐν τῶ ἀγαθῶ τὸ κακόν.

1  I beseech3870 you5209 therefore,3767 brethren,80 by1223 the3588 mercies3628 of God,2316 that ye present3936 your5216 bodies4983 a living2198 sacrifice,2378 holy,40 acceptable2101 unto God,2316 which is your5216 reasonable3050 service.2999

2  And2532 be not3361 conformed4964 to this5129 world:165 but235 be ye transformed3339 by the3588 renewing342 of your5216 mind,3563 that ye5209 may prove1381 what5101 is that good,18 and2532 acceptable,2101 and2532 perfect,5046 will2307 of God.2316

3  For1063 I say,3004 through1223 the3588 grace5485 given1325 unto me,3427 to every man3956 that is5607 among1722 you,5213 not3361 to think of himself more highly than5252 3844 3739 he ought1163 to think;5426 but235 to think5426 soberly,4993 according as5613 God2316 hath dealt3307 to every man1538 the measure3358 of faith.4102

4  For1063 as2509 we have2192 many4183 members3196 in1722 one1520 body,4983 and1161 all3956 members3196 have2192 not3756 the3588 same846 office:4234

5  So3779 we, being many,4183 are2070 one1520 body4983 in1722 Christ,5547 and1161 every2596 one1520 members3196 one of another.240

6  Having2192 then1161 gifts5486 differing1313 according2596 to the3588 grace5485 that is given1325 to us,2254 whether1535 prophecy,4394 let us prophesy according2596 to the3588 proportion356 of faith;4102

7  Or1535 ministry,1248 let us wait on1722 our ministering:1248 or1535 he that teacheth,1321 on1722 teaching;1319

8  Or1535 he that exhorteth,3870 on1722 exhortation:3874 he that giveth,3330 let him do it with1722 simplicity;572 he that ruleth,4291 with1722 diligence;4710 he that showeth mercy,1653 with1722 cheerfulness.2432

9  Let love26 be without dissimulation.505 Abhor655 that which is evil;4190 cleave2853 to that which is good.18

10  Be kindly affectioned5387 one to another240 1519 with brotherly love;5360 in honor5092 preferring4285 one another;240

1 Obsecro itaque vos fratres per misericordiam Dei, ut exhibeatis corpora vestra hostiam viventem, sanctam, Deo placentem, rationabile obsequium vestrum.

2 Et nolite conformari huic sæculo, sed reformamini in novitate sensus vestri: ut probetis quæ sit voluntas Dei bona, et beneplacens, et perfecta.

3 Dico enim per gratiam quæ data est mihi, omnibus qui sunt inter vos, non plus sapere quam oportet sapere, sed sapere ad sobrietatem: et unicuique sicut Deus divisit mensuram fidei.

4 Sicut enim in uno corpore multa membra habemus, omnia autem membra non eumdem actum habent:

5 ita multi unum corpus sumus in Christo, singuli autem alter alterius membra.

6 Habentes autem donationes secundum gratiam, quæ data est nobis, differentes: sive prophetiam secundum rationem fidei,

7 sive ministerium in ministrando, sive qui docet in doctrina,

8 qui exhortatur in exhortando, qui tribuit in simplicitate, qui præest in sollicitudine, qui miseretur in hilaritate.

9 Dilectio sine simulatione: odientes malum, adhærentes bono:

10 caritate fraternitatis invicem diligentes: honore invicem prævenientes:

11 sollicitudine non pigri: spiritu ferventes: Domino servientes:

12 spe gaudentes: in tribulatione patientes: orationi instantes:

13 necessitatibus sanctorum communicantes: hospitalitatem sectantes.

14 Benedicite persequentibus vos: benedicite, et nolite maledicere.

15 Gaudere cum gaudentibus, flere cum flentibus:

16 idipsum invicem sentientes: non alta sapientes, sed humilibus consentientes. Nolite esse prudentes apud vosmetipsos:

17 nulli malum pro malo reddentes: providentes bona non tantum coram Deo, sed etiam coram omnibus hominibus.

18 Si fieri potest, quod ex vobis est, cum omnibus hominibus pacem habentes:

19 non vosmetipsos defendentes carissimi, sed date locum iræ. Scriptum est enim: Mihi vindicta: ego retribuam, dicit Dominus.

20 Sed si esurierit inimicus tuus, ciba illum: si sitit, potum da illi: hoc enim faciens, carbones ignis congeres super caput ejus.

21 Noli vinci a malo, sed vince in bono malum.
