1  Thou shalt not³⁸⁰⁸ sacrifice²⁰⁷⁶ unto the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God⁴³⁰ any bullock,⁷⁷⁹⁴ or sheep,⁷⁷¹⁶ wherein⁸³⁴ is¹⁹⁶¹ blemish,³⁹⁷¹ or any³⁶⁰⁵ evilfavoredness:^{1697 7451} for³⁵⁸⁸ that¹⁹³¹ is an abomination⁸⁴⁴¹ unto the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God.⁴³⁰

2  If³⁵⁸⁸ there be found⁴⁶⁷² among⁷¹³⁰ you, within any²⁵⁹ of thy gates⁸¹⁷⁹ which⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God⁴³⁰ giveth⁵⁴¹⁴ thee, man³⁷⁶ or¹⁷⁶ woman,⁸⁰² that⁸³⁴ hath wrought^{6213 853} wickedness⁷⁴⁵¹ in the sight⁵⁸⁶⁹ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God,⁴³⁰ in transgressing⁵⁶⁷⁴ his covenant,¹²⁸⁵

3  And hath gone¹⁹⁸⁰ and served⁵⁶⁴⁷ other³¹² gods,⁴³⁰ and worshiped⁷⁸¹² them, either the sun,⁸¹²¹ or¹⁷⁶ moon,³³⁹⁴ or¹⁷⁶ any³⁶⁰⁵ of the host⁶⁶³⁵ of heaven,⁸⁰⁶⁴ which⁸³⁴ I have not³⁸⁰⁸ commanded;⁶⁶⁸⁰

4  And it be told⁵⁰⁴⁶ thee, and thou hast heard⁸⁰⁸⁵ of it, and inquired¹⁸⁷⁵ diligently,³¹⁹⁰ and, behold,²⁰⁰⁹ it be true,⁵⁷¹ and the thing¹⁶⁹⁷ certain,³⁵⁵⁹ that such²⁰⁶³ abomination⁸⁴⁴¹ is wrought⁶²¹³ in Israel:³⁴⁷⁸

5  Then shalt thou bring forth^{3318 853} that¹⁹³¹ man³⁷⁶ or¹⁷⁶ that¹⁹³¹ woman,⁸⁰² which⁸³⁴ have committed^{6213 853} that²⁰⁸⁸ wicked⁷⁴⁵¹ thing,¹⁶⁹⁷ unto⁴¹³ thy gates,⁸¹⁷⁹ even ⁸⁵³ that man³⁷⁶ or^{176 853} that woman,⁸⁰² and shalt stone⁵⁶¹⁹ them with stones,⁶⁸ till they die.⁴¹⁹¹

6  At⁵⁹²¹ the mouth⁶³¹⁰ of two⁸¹⁴⁷ witnesses,⁵⁷⁰⁷ or¹⁷⁶ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ witnesses,⁵⁷⁰⁷ shall he that is worthy of death⁴¹⁹¹ be put to death;⁴¹⁹¹ but at⁵⁹²¹ the mouth⁶³¹⁰ of one²⁵⁹ witness⁵⁷⁰⁷ he shall not³⁸⁰⁸ be put to death.⁴¹⁹¹

7  The hands³⁰²⁷ of the witnesses⁵⁷⁰⁷ shall be¹⁹⁶¹ first⁷²²³ upon him to put him to death,⁴¹⁹¹ and afterward³¹⁴ the hands³⁰²⁷ of all³⁶⁰⁵ the people.⁵⁹⁷¹ So thou shalt put the evil away^{1197 7451} from among^{4480 7130} you.

8  If³⁵⁸⁸ there arise a matter too hard^{6381 1697} for⁴⁴⁸⁰ thee in judgment,⁴⁹⁴¹ between⁹⁹⁶ blood¹⁸¹⁸ and blood,¹⁸¹⁸ between⁹⁹⁶ plea¹⁷⁷⁹ and plea,¹⁷⁷⁹ and between⁹⁹⁶ stroke⁵⁰⁶¹ and stroke,⁵⁰⁶¹ being matters¹⁶⁹⁷ of controversy⁷³⁷⁹ within thy gates:⁸¹⁷⁹ then shalt thou arise,⁶⁹⁶⁵ and get thee up⁵⁹²⁷ into⁴¹³ the place⁴⁷²⁵ which⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God⁴³⁰ shall choose;⁹⁷⁷

9  And thou shalt come⁹³⁵ unto⁴¹³ the priests³⁵⁴⁸ the Levites,³⁸⁸¹ and unto⁴¹³ the judge⁸¹⁹⁹ that⁸³⁴ shall be¹⁹⁶¹ in those¹⁹⁹² days,³¹¹⁷ and inquire;¹⁸⁷⁵ and they shall show⁵⁰⁴⁶ thee ⁸⁵³ the sentence¹⁶⁹⁷ of judgment:⁴⁹⁴¹

10  And thou shalt do⁶²¹³ according to^{5921 6310} the sentence,¹⁶⁹⁷ which⁸³⁴ they of⁴⁴⁸⁰ that¹⁹³¹ place⁴⁷²⁵ which⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ shall choose⁹⁷⁷ shall show⁵⁰⁴⁶ thee; and thou shalt observe⁸¹⁰⁴ to do⁶²¹³ according to all³⁶⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ they inform³³⁸⁴ thee:

11  According to⁵⁹²¹ the sentence⁶³¹⁰ of the law⁸⁴⁵¹ which⁸³⁴ they shall teach³³⁸⁴ thee, and according to⁵⁹²¹ the judgment⁴⁹⁴¹ which⁸³⁴ they shall tell⁵⁵⁹ thee, thou shalt do:⁶²¹³ thou shalt not³⁸⁰⁸ decline⁵⁴⁹³ from⁴⁴⁸⁰ the sentence¹⁶⁹⁷ which⁸³⁴ they shall show⁵⁰⁴⁶ thee, to the right hand,³²²⁵ nor to the left.⁸⁰⁴⁰

12  And the man³⁷⁶ that⁸³⁴ will do⁶²¹³ presumptuously,²⁰⁸⁷ and will not¹¹¹⁵ hearken⁸⁰⁸⁵ unto⁴¹³ the priest³⁵⁴⁸ that standeth⁵⁹⁷⁵ to minister⁸³³⁴ there⁸⁰³³ before⁸⁵⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God,⁴³⁰ or¹⁷⁶ unto⁴¹³ the judge,⁸¹⁹⁹ even that¹⁹³¹ man³⁷⁶ shall die:⁴¹⁹¹ and thou shalt put away¹¹⁹⁷ the evil⁷⁴⁵¹ from Israel.^{4480 3478}

13  And all³⁶⁰⁵ the people⁵⁹⁷¹ shall hear,⁸⁰⁸⁵ and fear,³³⁷² and do no³⁸⁰⁸ more⁵⁷⁵⁰ presumptuously.²¹⁰²

14  When³⁵⁸⁸ thou art come⁹³⁵ unto⁴¹³ the land⁷⁷⁶ which⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God⁴³⁰ giveth⁵⁴¹⁴ thee, and shalt possess³⁴²³ it, and shalt dwell³⁴²⁷ therein, and shalt say,⁵⁵⁹ I will set⁷⁷⁶⁰ a king⁴⁴²⁸ over⁵⁹²¹ me, like as all³⁶⁰⁵ the nations¹⁴⁷¹ that⁸³⁴ are about⁵⁴³⁹ me;

15  Thou shalt in any wise set^{7760 7760} him king⁴⁴²⁸ over⁵⁹²¹ thee, whom⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ thy God⁴³⁰ shall choose:⁹⁷⁷ one from among^{4480 7130} thy brethren²⁵¹ shalt thou set⁷⁷⁶⁰ king⁴⁴²⁸ over⁵⁹²¹ thee: thou mayest³²⁰¹ not³⁸⁰⁸ set⁵⁴¹⁴ a stranger^{376 5237} over⁵⁹²¹ thee, which⁸³⁴ is not³⁸⁰⁸ thy brother.²⁵¹

16  But⁷⁵³⁵ he shall not³⁸⁰⁸ multiply⁷²³⁵ horses⁵⁴⁸³ to himself, nor³⁸⁰⁸ cause ⁸⁵³ the people⁵⁹⁷¹ to return⁷⁷²⁵ to Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ to the end that⁴⁶¹⁶ he should multiply⁷²³⁵ horses:⁵⁴⁸³ forasmuch as the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ hath said⁵⁵⁹ unto you, Ye shall henceforth³²⁵⁴ return⁷⁷²⁵ no³⁸⁰⁸ more⁵⁷⁵⁰ that²⁰⁸⁸ way.¹⁸⁷⁰

17  Neither³⁸⁰⁸ shall he multiply⁷²³⁵ wives⁸⁰² to himself, that his heart³⁸²⁴ turn not away:^{5493 3808} neither³⁸⁰⁸ shall he greatly³⁹⁶⁶ multiply⁷²³⁵ to himself silver³⁷⁰¹ and gold.²⁰⁹¹

18  And it shall be,¹⁹⁶¹ when he sitteth³⁴²⁷ upon⁵⁹²¹ the throne³⁶⁷⁸ of his kingdom,⁴⁴⁶⁷ that he shall write³⁷⁸⁹ him ⁸⁵³ a copy⁴⁹³² of this²⁰⁶³ law⁸⁴⁵¹ in⁵⁹²¹ a book⁵⁶¹² out of that which is before^{4480 6440} the priests³⁵⁴⁸ the Levites:³⁸⁸¹

19  And it shall be¹⁹⁶¹ with⁵⁹⁷³ him, and he shall read⁷¹²¹ therein all³⁶⁰⁵ the days³¹¹⁷ of his life:²⁴¹⁶ that⁴⁶¹⁶ he may learn³⁹²⁵ to fear^{3372 853} the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ his God,⁴³⁰ to keep^{8104 853} all³⁶⁰⁵ the words¹⁶⁹⁷ of this²⁰⁶³ law⁸⁴⁵¹ and these⁴²⁸ statutes,²⁷⁰⁶ to do⁶²¹³ them:

20  That his heart³⁸²⁴ be not¹¹¹⁵ lifted up⁷³¹¹ above his brethren,^{4480 251} and that he turn not aside^{5493 1115} from⁴⁴⁸⁰ the commandment,⁴⁶⁸⁷ to the right hand,³²²⁵ or to the left:⁸⁰⁴⁰ to the end that⁴⁶¹⁶ he may prolong⁷⁴⁸ his days³¹¹⁷ in⁵⁹²¹ his kingdom,⁴⁴⁶⁷ he,¹⁹³¹ and his children,¹¹²¹ in the midst⁷¹³⁰ of Israel.³⁴⁷⁸

1 οὐ θύσεις κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου μόσχον ἢ πρόβατον ἐν ᾧ ἐστιν ἐν αὐτῷ μῶμος πᾶν ῥῆμα πονηρόν ὅτι βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σού ἐστιν

2 ἐὰν δὲ εὑρεθῇ ἐν σοὶ ἐν μιᾷ τῶν πόλεών σου ὧν κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἀνὴρ ἢ γυνή ὅστις ποιήσει τὸ πονηρὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου παρελθεῖν τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ

3 καὶ ἐλθόντες λατρεύσωσιν θεοῖς ἑτέροις καὶ προσκυνήσωσιν αὐτοῖς τῷ ἡλίῳ ἢ τῇ σελήνῃ ἢ παντὶ τῶν ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἃ οὐ προσέταξεν

4 καὶ ἀναγγελῇ σοι καὶ ἐκζητήσεις σφόδρα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀληθῶς γέγονεν τὸ ῥῆμα γεγένηται τὸ βδέλυγμα τοῦτο ἐν Ισραηλ

5 καὶ ἐξάξεις τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐκεῖνον ἢ τὴν γυναῖκα ἐκείνην καὶ λιθοβολήσετε αὐτοὺς ἐν λίθοις καὶ τελευτήσουσιν

6 ἐπὶ δυσὶν μάρτυσιν ἢ ἐπὶ τρισὶν μάρτυσιν ἀποθανεῖται ὁ ἀποθνῄσκων οὐκ ἀποθανεῖται ἐφ᾽ ἑνὶ μάρτυρι

7 καὶ ἡ χεὶρ τῶν μαρτύρων ἔσται ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἐν πρώτοις θανατῶσαι αὐτόν καὶ ἡ χεὶρ παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν

8 ἐὰν δὲ ἀδυνατήσῃ ἀπὸ σοῦ ῥῆμα ἐν κρίσει ἀνὰ μέσον αἷμα αἵματος καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον κρίσις κρίσεως καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἁφὴ ἁφῆς καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀντιλογία ἀντιλογίας ῥήματα κρίσεως ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν ὑμῶν καὶ ἀναστὰς ἀναβήσῃ εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ

9 καὶ ἐλεύσῃ πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς τοὺς Λευίτας καὶ πρὸς τὸν κριτήν ὃς ἂν γένηται ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις καὶ ἐκζητήσαντες ἀναγγελοῦσίν σοι τὴν κρίσιν

10 καὶ ποιήσεις κατὰ τὸ πρᾶγμα ὃ ἐὰν ἀναγγείλωσίν σοι ἐκ τοῦ τόπου οὗ ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ καὶ φυλάξῃ σφόδρα ποιῆσαι κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν νομοθετηθῇ σοι

11 κατὰ τὸν νόμον καὶ κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν ἣν ἂν εἴπωσίν σοι ποιήσεις οὐκ ἐκκλινεῖς ἀπὸ τοῦ ῥήματος οὗ ἐὰν ἀναγγείλωσίν σοι δεξιὰ οὐδὲ ἀριστερά

12 καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἂν ποιήσῃ ἐν ὑπερηφανίᾳ τοῦ μὴ ὑπακοῦσαι τοῦ ἱερέως τοῦ παρεστηκότος λειτουργεῖν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ἢ τοῦ κριτοῦ ὃς ἂν ᾖ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις καὶ ἀποθανεῖται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ Ισραηλ

13 καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἀκούσας φοβηθήσεται καὶ οὐκ ἀσεβήσει ἔτι

14 ἐὰν δὲ εἰσέλθῃς εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ καὶ κληρονομήσῃς αὐτὴν καὶ κατοικήσῃς ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ εἴπῃς καταστήσω ἐπ᾽ ἐμαυτὸν ἄρχοντα καθὰ καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἔθνη τὰ κύκλῳ μου

15 καθιστῶν καταστήσεις ἐπὶ σεαυτὸν ἄρχοντα ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτόν ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν σου καταστήσεις ἐπὶ σεαυτὸν ἄρχοντα οὐ δυνήσῃ καταστῆσαι ἐπὶ σεαυτὸν ἄνθρωπον ἀλλότριον ὅτι οὐκ ἀδελφός σού ἐστιν

16 διότι οὐ πληθυνεῖ ἑαυτῷ ἵππον οὐδὲ μὴ ἀποστρέψῃ τὸν λαὸν εἰς Αἴγυπτον ὅπως πληθύνῃ ἑαυτῷ ἵππον ὁ δὲ κύριος εἶπεν οὐ προσθήσετε ἀποστρέψαι τῇ ὁδῷ ταύτῃ ἔτι

17 καὶ οὐ πληθυνεῖ ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκας οὐδὲ μεταστήσεται αὐτοῦ ἡ καρδία καὶ ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον οὐ πληθυνεῖ ἑαυτῷ σφόδρα

18 καὶ ἔσται ὅταν καθίσῃ ἐπὶ τῆς ἀρχῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ γράψει ἑαυτῷ τὸ δευτερονόμιον τοῦτο εἰς βιβλίον παρὰ τῶν ἱερέων τῶν Λευιτῶν

19 καὶ ἔσται μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀναγνώσεται ἐν αὐτῷ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ ἵνα μάθῃ φοβεῖσθαι κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτοῦ φυλάσσεσθαι πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς ταύτας καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα ποιεῖν

20 ἵνα μὴ ὑψωθῇ ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ ἵνα μὴ παραβῇ ἀπὸ τῶν ἐντολῶν δεξιὰ ἢ ἀριστερά ὅπως ἂν μακροχρονίσῃ ἐπὶ τῆς ἀρχῆς αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ

‎1 ‏לֹא־תִזְבַּח֩ לַיהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ שׁ֣וֹר וָשֶׂ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִהְיֶ֥ה בוֹ֙ מ֔וּם כֹּ֖ל דָּבָ֣ר רָ֑ע כִּ֧י תוֹעֲבַ֛ת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ הֽוּא׃ ס

‎2 ‏כִּֽי־יִמָּצֵ֤א בְקִרְבְּךָ֙ בְּאַחַ֣ד שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ אֲשֶׁר־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ נֹתֵ֣ן לָ֑ךְ אִ֣ישׁ אוֹ־אִשָּׁ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַעֲשֶׂ֧ה אֶת־הָרַ֛ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָֽה־אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לַעֲבֹ֥ר בְּרִיתֽוֹ׃

‎3 ‏וַיֵּ֗לֶךְ וַֽיַּעֲבֹד֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ לָהֶ֑ם וְלַשֶּׁ֣מֶשׁ׀ א֣וֹ לַיָּרֵ֗חַ א֛וֹ לְכָל־צְבָ֥א הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־צִוִּֽיתִי׃

‎4 ‏וְהֻֽגַּד־לְךָ֖ וְשָׁמָ֑עְתָּ וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֣ הֵיטֵ֔ב וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֱמֶת֙ נָכ֣וֹן הַדָּבָ֔ר נֶעֶשְׂתָ֛ה הַתּוֹעֵבָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

‎5 ‏וְהֽוֹצֵאתָ֣ אֶת־הָאִ֣ישׁ הַה֡וּא אוֹ֩ אֶת־הָאִשָּׁ֨ה הַהִ֜וא אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָ֠שׂוּ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֨ר הָרָ֤ע הַזֶּה֙ אֶל־שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ אֶת־הָאִ֕ישׁ א֖וֹ אֶת־הָאִשָּׁ֑ה וּסְקַלְתָּ֥ם בָּאֲבָנִ֖ים וָמֵֽתוּ׃

‎6 ‏עַל־פִּ֣י׀ שְׁנַ֣יִם עֵדִ֗ים א֛וֹ שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה עֵדִ֖ים יוּמַ֣ת הַמֵּ֑ת לֹ֣א יוּמַ֔ת עַל־פִּ֖י עֵ֥ד אֶחָֽד׃

‎7 ‏יַ֣ד הָעֵדִ֞ים תִּֽהְיֶה־בּ֤וֹ בָרִאשֹׁנָה֙ לַהֲמִית֔וֹ וְיַ֥ד כָּל־הָעָ֖ם בָּאַחֲרֹנָ֑ה³ וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ פ

‎8 ‏כִּ֣י יִפָּלֵא֩ מִמְּךָ֙ דָבָ֜ר לַמִּשְׁפָּ֗ט בֵּֽין־דָּ֨ם׀ לְדָ֜ם בֵּֽין־דִּ֣ין לְדִ֗ין וּבֵ֥ין נֶ֙גַע֙ לָנֶ֔גַע דִּבְרֵ֥י רִיבֹ֖ת בִּשְׁעָרֶ֑יךָ וְקַמְתָּ֣ וְעָלִ֔יתָ אֶל־הַמָּק֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ בּֽוֹ׃

‎9 ‏וּבָאתָ֗ אֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם וְאֶל־הַשֹּׁפֵ֔ט אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֑ם וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֙ וְהִגִּ֣ידוּ לְךָ֔ אֵ֖ת דְּבַ֥ר הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃

‎10 ‏וְעָשִׂ֗יתָ עַל־פִּ֤י הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יַגִּ֣ידֽוּ לְךָ֔ מִן־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַה֔וּא אֲשֶׁ֖ר יִבְחַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֣ לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת כְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹרֽוּךָ׃

‎11 ‏עַל־פִּ֨י הַתּוֹרָ֜ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר יוֹר֗וּךָ וְעַל־הַמִּשְׁפָּ֛ט אֲשֶׁר־יֹאמְר֥וּ לְךָ֖ תַּעֲשֶׂ֑ה לֹ֣א תָס֗וּר מִן־הַדָּבָ֛ר אֲשֶׁר־יַגִּ֥ידֽוּ לְךָ֖ יָמִ֥ין וּשְׂמֹֽאל׃

‎12 ‏וְהָאִ֞ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה בְזָד֗וֹן לְבִלְתִּ֨י שְׁמֹ֤עַ אֶל־הַכֹּהֵן֙ הָעֹמֵ֞ד לְשָׁ֤רֶת שָׁם֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ א֖וֹ אֶל־הַשֹּׁפֵ֑ט וּמֵת֙ הָאִ֣ישׁ הַה֔וּא וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

‎13 ‏וְכָל־הָעָ֖ם יִשְׁמְע֣וּ וְיִרָ֑אוּ וְלֹ֥א יְזִיד֖וּן עֽוֹד׃ ס

‎14 ‏כִּֽי־תָבֹ֣א אֶל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ נֹתֵ֣ן לָ֔ךְ וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֖הּ וְיָשַׁ֣בְתָּה בָּ֑הּ וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ אָשִׂ֤ימָה עָלַי֙ מֶ֔לֶךְ כְּכָל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר סְבִיבֹתָֽי׃

‎15 ‏שׂ֣וֹם תָּשִׂ֤ים עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ מֶ֔לֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ בּ֑וֹ מִקֶּ֣רֶב אַחֶ֗יךָ תָּשִׂ֤ים עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ מֶ֔לֶךְ לֹ֣א תוּכַ֗ל לָתֵ֤ת עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ אִ֣ישׁ נָכְרִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־אָחִ֖יךָ הֽוּא׃

‎16 ‏רַק֮ לֹא־יַרְבֶּה־לּ֣וֹ סוּסִים֒ וְלֹֽא־יָשִׁ֤יב אֶת־הָעָם֙ מִצְרַ֔יְמָה לְמַ֖עַן הַרְבּ֣וֹת ס֑וּס וַֽיהוָה֙ אָמַ֣ר לָכֶ֔ם לֹ֣א תֹסִפ֗וּן לָשׁ֛וּב בַּדֶּ֥רֶךְ הַזֶּ֖ה עֽוֹד׃

‎17 ‏וְלֹ֤א יַרְבֶּה־לּוֹ֙ נָשִׁ֔ים וְלֹ֥א יָס֖וּר לְבָב֑וֹ וְכֶ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֔ב לֹ֥א יַרְבֶּה־לּ֖וֹ מְאֹֽד׃

‎18 ‏וְהָיָ֣ה כְשִׁבְתּ֔וֹ עַ֖ל כִּסֵּ֣א מַמְלַכְתּ֑וֹ וְכָ֨תַב ל֜וֹ אֶת־מִשְׁנֵ֨ה הַתּוֹרָ֤ה הַזֹּאת֙ עַל־סֵ֔פֶר מִלִּפְנֵ֥י הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים הַלְוִיִּֽם׃³

‎19 ‏וְהָיְתָ֣ה עִמּ֔וֹ וְקָ֥רָא ב֖וֹ כָּל־יְמֵ֣י חַיָּ֑יו לְמַ֣עַן יִלְמַ֗ד לְיִרְאָה֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֔יו לִ֠שְׁמֹר אֶֽת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֞י הַתּוֹרָ֥ה הַזֹּ֛את וְאֶת־הַחֻקִּ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה לַעֲשֹׂתָֽם׃

‎20 ‏לְבִלְתִּ֤י רוּם־לְבָבוֹ֙ מֵֽאֶחָ֔יו וּלְבִלְתִּ֛י ס֥וּר מִן־הַמִּצְוָ֖ה יָמִ֣ין וּשְׂמֹ֑אול לְמַעַן֩ יַאֲרִ֨יךְ יָמִ֧ים עַל־מַמְלַכְתּ֛וֹ ה֥וּא וּבָנָ֖יו בְּקֶ֥רֶב יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס

Vul

1 Non immolabis Domino Deo tuo ovem, et bovem, in quo est macula, aut quippiam vitii: quia abominatio est Domino Deo tuo.

2 Cum reperti fuerint apud te intra unam portarum tuarum, quas Dominus Deus tuus dabit tibi, vir aut mulier qui faciant malum in conspectu Domini Dei tui, et transgrediantur pactum illius,

3 ut vadant et servant diis alienis, et adorent eos, solem et lunam, et omnem militiam cæli, quæ non præcepi:

4 et hoc tibi fuerit nuntiatum, audiensque inquisieris diligenter et verum esse repereris, et abominatio facta est in Israël:

5 educes virum ac mulierem, qui rem sceleratissimam perpetrarunt, ad portas civitatis tuæ, et lapidibus obruentur.

6 In ore duorum aut trium testium peribit qui interficietur. Nemo occidatur, uno contra se dicente testimonium.

7 Manus testium prima interficiet eum, et manus reliqui populi extrema mittetur: ut auferas malum de medio tui.

8 Si difficile et ambiguum apud te judicium esse perspexeris inter sanguinem et sanguinem, causam et causam, lepram et lepram: et judicum intra portas tuas videris verba variari: surge, et ascende ad locum, quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus.

9 Veniesque ad sacerdotes Levitici generis, et ad judicem qui fuerit illo tempore: quæresque ab eis, qui indicabunt tibi judicii veritatem.

10 Et facies quodcumque dixerint qui præsunt loco quem elegerit Dominus, et docuerint te

11 juxta legem ejus, sequerisque sententiam eorum, nec declinabis ad dexteram neque ad sinistram.

12 Qui autem superbierit, nolens obedire sacerdotis imperio, qui eo tempore ministrat Domino Deo tuo, et decreto judicis, morietur homo ille, et auferes malum de Israël:

13 cunctusque populus audiens timebit, ut nullus deinceps intumescat superbia.

14 Cum ingressus fueris terram, quam Dominus Deus tuus dabit tibi, et possederis eam, habitaverisque in illa, et dixeris: Constituam super me regem, sicut habent omnes per circuitum nationes:

15 eum constitues, quem Dominus Deus tuus elegerit de numero fratrum tuorum. Non poteris alterius gentis hominem regem facere, qui non sit frater tuus.

16 Cumque fuerit constitutus, non multiplicabit sibi equos, nec reducet populum in Ægyptum, equitatus numero sublevatus, præsertim cum Dominus præceperit vobis ut nequaquam amplius per eamdem viam revertamini.

17 Non habebit uxores plurimas, quæ alliciant animum ejus, neque argenti et auri immensa pondera.

18 Postquam autem sederit in solio regni sui, describet sibi Deuteronomium legis hujus in volumine, accipiens exemplar a sacerdotibus Leviticæ tribus,

19 et habebit secum, legetque illud omnibus diebus vitæ suæ, ut discat timere Dominum Deum suum, et custodire verba et cæremonias ejus, quæ in lege præcepta sunt.

20 Nec elevetur cor ejus in superbiam super fratres suos, neque declinet in partem dexteram vel sinistram, ut longo tempore regnet ipse et filii ejus super Israël.
