1  The word¹⁶⁹⁷ that⁸³⁴ came¹⁹⁶¹ to⁴¹³ Jeremiah³⁴¹⁴ from^{4480 854} the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ saying,⁵⁵⁹

2  Thus³⁵⁴¹ speaketh⁵⁵⁹ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ God⁴³⁰ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Write³⁷⁸⁹ thee ⁸⁵³ all³⁶⁰⁵ the words¹⁶⁹⁷ that⁸³⁴ I have spoken¹⁶⁹⁶ unto⁴¹³ thee in⁴¹³ a book.⁵⁶¹²

3  For,³⁵⁸⁸ lo,²⁰⁰⁹ the days³¹¹⁷ come,⁹³⁵ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ that I will bring again^{7725 853} the captivity⁷⁶²² of my people⁵⁹⁷¹ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ and Judah,³⁰⁶³ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD:³⁰⁶⁸ and I will cause them to return⁷⁷²⁵ to⁴¹³ the land⁷⁷⁶ that⁸³⁴ I gave⁵⁴¹⁴ to their fathers,¹ and they shall possess³⁴²³ it.

4  And these⁴²⁸ are the words¹⁶⁹⁷ that⁸³⁴ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ spoke¹⁶⁹⁶ concerning⁴¹³ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ and concerning⁴¹³ Judah.³⁰⁶³

5  For³⁵⁸⁸ thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ We have heard⁸⁰⁸⁵ a voice⁶⁹⁶³ of trembling,²⁷³¹ of fear,⁶³⁴³ and not³⁶⁹ of peace.⁷⁹⁶⁵

6  Ask⁷⁵⁹² ye now,⁴⁹⁹⁴ and see⁷²⁰⁰ whether⁵¹⁸ a man²¹⁴⁵ doth travail with child?³²⁰⁵ wherefore⁴⁰⁶⁹ do I see⁷²⁰⁰ every³⁶⁰⁵ man¹³⁹⁷ with his hands³⁰²⁷ on⁵⁹²¹ his loins,²⁵⁰⁴ as a woman in travail,³²⁰⁵ and all³⁶⁰⁵ faces⁶⁴⁴⁰ are turned²⁰¹⁵ into paleness?³⁴²⁰

7  Alas!¹⁹⁴⁵ for³⁵⁸⁸ that¹⁹³¹ day³¹¹⁷ is great,¹⁴¹⁹ so that none^{4480 369} is like it:³⁶⁴⁴ it¹⁹³¹ is even the time⁶²⁵⁶ of Jacob's³²⁹⁰ trouble;⁶⁸⁶⁹ but he shall be saved³⁴⁶⁷ out of⁴⁴⁸⁰ it.

8  For it shall come to pass¹⁹⁶¹ in that¹⁹³¹ day,³¹¹⁷ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ of hosts,⁶⁶³⁵ that I will break⁷⁶⁶⁵ his yoke⁵⁹²³ from off^{4480 5921} thy neck,⁶⁶⁷⁷ and will burst⁵⁴²³ thy bonds,⁴¹⁴⁷ and strangers²¹¹⁴ shall no³⁸⁰⁸ more⁵⁷⁵⁰ serve⁵⁶⁴⁷ themselves of him:

9  But they shall serve^{5647 853} the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ their God,⁴³⁰ and David¹⁷³² their king,⁴⁴²⁸ whom⁸³⁴ I will raise up⁶⁹⁶⁵ unto them.

10  Therefore fear³³⁷² thou⁸⁵⁹ not,⁴⁰⁸ O my servant⁵⁶⁵⁰ Jacob,³²⁹⁰ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ neither⁴⁰⁸ be dismayed,²⁸⁶⁵ O Israel:³⁴⁷⁸ for,³⁵⁸⁸ lo,²⁰⁰⁹ I will save³⁴⁶⁷ thee from afar,^{4480 7350} and thy seed²²³³ from the land^{4480 776} of their captivity;⁷⁶²⁸ and Jacob³²⁹⁰ shall return,⁷⁷²⁵ and shall be in rest,⁸²⁵² and be quiet,⁷⁵⁹⁹ and none³⁶⁹ shall make him afraid.²⁷²⁹

11  For³⁵⁸⁸ I⁵⁸⁹ am with⁸⁵⁴ thee, saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ to save³⁴⁶⁷ thee: though³⁵⁸⁸ I make⁶²¹³ a full end³⁶¹⁷ of all³⁶⁰⁵ nations¹⁴⁷¹ whither^{834 8033} I have scattered⁶³²⁷ thee, yet³⁸⁹ will I not³⁸⁰⁸ make⁶²¹³ a full end³⁶¹⁷ of thee: but I will correct³²⁵⁶ thee in measure,⁴⁹⁴¹ and will not³⁸⁰⁸ leave thee altogether unpunished.^{5352 5352}

12  For³⁵⁸⁸ thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ Thy bruise⁷⁶⁶⁷ is incurable,⁶⁰⁵ and thy wound⁴³⁴⁷ is grievous.²⁴⁷⁰

13  There is none³⁶⁹ to plead¹⁷⁷⁷ thy cause,¹⁷⁷⁹ that thou mayest be bound up:⁴²⁰⁵ thou hast no³⁶⁹ healing⁸⁵⁸⁵ medicines.⁷⁴⁹⁹

14  All³⁶⁰⁵ thy lovers¹⁵⁷ have forgotten⁷⁹¹¹ thee; they seek¹⁸⁷⁵ thee not;³⁸⁰⁸ for³⁵⁸⁸ I have wounded⁵²²¹ thee with the wound⁴³⁴⁷ of an enemy,³⁴¹ with the chastisement⁴¹⁴⁸ of a cruel³⁹⁴ one, for⁵⁹²¹ the multitude⁷²³⁰ of thine iniquity;⁵⁷⁷¹ because thy sins²⁴⁰³ were increased.⁶¹⁰⁵

15  Why⁴¹⁰⁰ criest²¹⁹⁹ thou for⁵⁹²¹ thine affliction?⁷⁶⁶⁷ thy sorrow⁴³⁴¹ is incurable⁶⁰⁵ for⁵⁹²¹ the multitude⁷²³⁰ of thine iniquity:⁵⁷⁷¹ because thy sins²⁴⁰³ were increased,⁶¹⁰⁵ I have done⁶²¹³ these⁴²⁸ things unto thee.

16  Therefore³⁶⁵¹ all³⁶⁰⁵ they that devour³⁹⁸ thee shall be devoured;³⁹⁸ and all³⁶⁰⁵ thine adversaries,⁶⁸⁶² every one³⁶⁰⁵ of them, shall go¹⁹⁸⁰ into captivity;⁷⁶²⁸ and they that spoil⁷⁶⁰¹ thee shall be¹⁹⁶¹ a spoil,⁴⁹³³ and all³⁶⁰⁵ that prey⁹⁶² upon thee will I give⁵⁴¹⁴ for a prey.⁹⁵⁷

17  For³⁵⁸⁸ I will restore⁵⁹²⁷ health⁷²⁴ unto thee, and I will heal⁷⁴⁹⁵ thee of thy wounds,^{4480 4347} saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ because³⁵⁸⁸ they called⁷¹²¹ thee an Outcast,⁵⁰⁸⁰ saying, This¹⁹³¹ is Zion,⁶⁷²⁶ whom no³⁶⁹ man seeketh¹⁸⁷⁵ after.

18  Thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ Behold,²⁰⁰⁹ I will bring again⁷⁷²⁵ the captivity⁷⁶²² of Jacob's³²⁹⁰ tents,¹⁶⁸ and have mercy⁷³⁵⁵ on his dwelling places;⁴⁹⁰⁸ and the city⁵⁸⁹² shall be built¹¹²⁹ upon⁵⁹²¹ her own heap,⁸⁵¹⁰ and the palace⁷⁵⁹ shall remain³⁴²⁷ after⁵⁹²¹ the manner⁴⁹⁴¹ thereof.

19  And out of⁴⁴⁸⁰ them shall proceed³³¹⁸ thanksgiving⁸⁴²⁶ and the voice⁶⁹⁶³ of them that make merry:⁷⁸³² and I will multiply⁷²³⁵ them, and they shall not³⁸⁰⁸ be few;⁴⁵⁹¹ I will also glorify³⁵¹³ them, and they shall not³⁸⁰⁸ be small.⁶⁸¹⁹

20  Their children¹¹²¹ also shall be¹⁹⁶¹ as formerly,⁶⁹²⁴ and their congregation⁵⁷¹² shall be established³⁵⁵⁹ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ me, and I will punish^{6485 5921} all³⁶⁰⁵ that oppress³⁹⁰⁵ them.

21  And their nobles¹¹⁷ shall be¹⁹⁶¹ of⁴⁴⁸⁰ themselves, and their governor⁴⁹¹⁰ shall proceed³³¹⁸ from the midst^{4480 7130} of them; and I will cause him to draw near,⁷¹²⁶ and he shall approach⁵⁰⁶⁶ unto⁴¹³ me: for³⁵⁸⁸ who⁴³¹⁰ is this²⁰⁸⁸ that¹⁹³¹ engaged^{6148 853} his heart³⁸²⁰ to approach⁵⁰⁶⁶ unto⁴¹³ me? saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

22  And ye shall be¹⁹⁶¹ my people,⁵⁹⁷¹ and I⁵⁹⁵ will be¹⁹⁶¹ your God.⁴³⁰

23  Behold,²⁰⁰⁹ the whirlwind⁵⁵⁹¹ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ goeth forth³³¹⁸ with fury,²⁵³⁴ a continuing¹⁶⁴¹ whirlwind:⁵⁵⁹¹ it shall fall with pain²³⁴² upon⁵⁹²¹ the head⁷²¹⁸ of the wicked.⁷⁵⁶³

24  The fierce²⁷⁴⁰ anger⁶³⁹ of the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ shall not³⁸⁰⁸ return,⁷⁷²⁵ until⁵⁷⁰⁴ he have done⁶²¹³ it, and until⁵⁷⁰⁴ he have performed⁶⁹⁶⁵ the intents⁴²⁰⁹ of his heart:³⁸²⁰ in the latter³¹⁹ days³¹¹⁷ ye shall consider⁹⁹⁵ it.

1 τῇ Ιδουμαίᾳ τάδε λέγει κύριος οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι σοφία ἐν Θαιμαν ἀπώλετο βουλὴ ἐκ συνετῶν ὤχετο σοφία αὐτῶν

2 ἠπατήθη ὁ τόπος αὐτῶν βαθύνατε εἰς κάθισιν οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν Δαιδαν ὅτι δύσκολα ἐποίησεν ἤγαγον ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἐν χρόνῳ ᾧ ἐπεσκεψάμην ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν

3 ὅτι τρυγηταὶ ἦλθόν σοι οὐ καταλείψουσίν σοι καταλείμματα ὡς κλέπται ἐν νυκτὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν χεῖρα αὐτῶν

4 ὅτι ἐγὼ κατέσυρα τὸν Ησαυ ἀνεκάλυψα τὰ κρυπτὰ αὐτῶν κρυβῆναι οὐ μὴ δύνωνται ὤλοντο διὰ χεῖρα ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ γείτονος αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν

5 ὑπολείπεσθαι ὀρφανόν σου ἵνα ζήσηται καὶ ἐγὼ ζήσομαι καὶ χῆραι ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ πεποίθασιν

6 ὅτι τάδε εἶπεν κύριος οἷς οὐκ ἦν νόμος πιεῖν τὸ ποτήριον ἔπιον καὶ σὺ ἀθῳωμένη οὐ μὴ ἀθῳωθῇς ὅτι πίνων πίεσαι

7 ὅτι κατ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ ὤμοσα λέγει κύριος ὅτι εἰς ἄβατον καὶ εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν καὶ εἰς κατάρασιν ἔσῃ ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις αὐτῆς ἔσονται ἔρημοι εἰς αἰῶνα

8 ἀκοὴν ἤκουσα παρὰ κυρίου καὶ ἀγγέλους εἰς ἔθνη ἀπέστειλεν συνάχθητε καὶ παραγένεσθε εἰς αὐτήν ἀνάστητε εἰς πόλεμον

9 μικρὸν ἔδωκά σε ἐν ἔθνεσιν εὐκαταφρόνητον ἐν ἀνθρώποις

10 ἡ παιγνία σου ἐνεχείρησέν σοι ἰταμία καρδίας σου κατέλυσεν τρυμαλιὰς πετρῶν συνέλαβεν ἰσχὺν βουνοῦ ὑψηλοῦ ὅτι ὕψωσεν ὥσπερ ἀετὸς νοσσιὰν αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖθεν καθελῶ σε

11 καὶ ἔσται ἡ Ιδουμαία εἰς ἄβατον πᾶς ὁ παραπορευόμενος ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν συριεῖ

12 ὥσπερ κατεστράφη Σοδομα καὶ Γομορρα καὶ αἱ πάροικοι αὐτῆς εἶπεν κύριος παντοκράτωρ οὐ μὴ καθίσῃ ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπος καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐνοικήσῃ ἐκεῖ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου

13 ἰδοὺ ὥσπερ λέων ἀναβήσεται ἐκ μέσου τοῦ Ιορδάνου εἰς τόπον Αιθαμ ὅτι ταχὺ ἐκδιώξω αὐτοὺς ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ τοὺς νεανίσκους ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ἐπιστήσατε ὅτι τίς ὥσπερ ἐγώ καὶ τίς ἀντιστήσεταί μοι καὶ τίς οὗτος ποιμήν ὃς στήσεται κατὰ πρόσωπόν μου

14 διὰ τοῦτο ἀκούσατε βουλὴν κυρίου ἣν ἐβουλεύσατο ἐπὶ τὴν Ιδουμαίαν καὶ λογισμὸν αὐτοῦ ὃν ἐλογίσατο ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Θαιμαν ἐὰν μὴ συμψησθῶσιν τὰ ἐλάχιστα τῶν προβάτων ἐὰν μὴ ἀβατωθῇ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν κατάλυσις αὐτῶν

15 ὅτι ἀπὸ φωνῆς πτώσεως αὐτῶν ἐσείσθη ἡ γῆ καὶ κραυγή σου ἐν θαλάσσῃ ἠκούσθη

16 ἰδοὺ ὥσπερ ἀετὸς ὄψεται καὶ ἐκτενεῖ τὰς πτέρυγας ἐπ᾽ ὀχυρώματα αὐτῆς καὶ ἔσται ἡ καρδία τῶν ἰσχυρῶν τῆς Ιδουμαίας ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὡς καρδία γυναικὸς ὠδινούσης

17 τοῖς υἱοῖς Αμμων οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος μὴ υἱοὶ οὔκ εἰσιν ἐν Ισραηλ ἢ παραλημψόμενος οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτοῖς διὰ τί παρέλαβεν Μελχομ τὸν Γαδ καὶ ὁ λαὸς αὐτῶν ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν ἐνοικήσει

18 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται φησὶν κύριος καὶ ἀκουτιῶ ἐπὶ Ραββαθ θόρυβον πολέμων καὶ ἔσονται εἰς ἄβατον καὶ εἰς ἀπώλειαν καὶ βωμοὶ αὐτῆς ἐν πυρὶ κατακαυθήσονται καὶ παραλήμψεται Ισραηλ τὴν ἀρχὴν αὐτοῦ

19 ἀλάλαξον Εσεβων ὅτι ὤλετο Γαι κεκράξατε θυγατέρες Ραββαθ περιζώσασθε σάκκους καὶ ἐπιλημπτεύσασθε καὶ κόψασθε ἐπὶ Μελχομ ὅτι ἐν ἀποικίᾳ βαδιεῖται οἱ ἱερεῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτοῦ ἅμα

20 τί ἀγαλλιάσῃ ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις Ενακιμ θύγατερ ἰταμίας ἡ πεποιθυῖα ἐπὶ θησαυροῖς αὐτῆς ἡ λέγουσα τίς εἰσελεύσεται ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ

21 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ φέρω φόβον ἐπὶ σέ εἶπεν κύριος ἀπὸ πάσης τῆς περιοίκου σου καὶ διασπαρήσεσθε ἕκαστος εἰς πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ συνάγων

23 τῇ Κηδαρ βασιλίσσῃ τῆς αὐλῆς ἣν ἐπάταξεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἀνάστητε καὶ ἀνάβητε ἐπὶ Κηδαρ καὶ πλήσατε τοὺς υἱοὺς Κεδεμ

24 σκηνὰς αὐτῶν καὶ πρόβατα αὐτῶν λήμψονται ἱμάτια αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῶν καὶ καμήλους αὐτῶν λήμψονται ἑαυτοῖς καὶ καλέσατε ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἀπώλειαν κυκλόθεν

25 φεύγετε λίαν βαθύνατε εἰς κάθισιν καθήμενοι ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ ὅτι ἐβουλεύσατο ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος βουλὴν καὶ ἐλογίσατο ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς λογισμόν

26 ἀνάστηθι καὶ ἀνάβηθι ἐπ᾽ ἔθνος εὐσταθοῦν καθήμενον εἰς ἀναψυχήν οἷς οὔκ εἰσιν θύραι οὐ βάλανοι οὐ μοχλοί μόνοι καταλύουσιν

27 καὶ ἔσονται κάμηλοι αὐτῶν εἰς προνομὴν καὶ πλῆθος κτηνῶν αὐτῶν εἰς ἀπώλειαν καὶ λικμήσω αὐτοὺς παντὶ πνεύματι κεκαρμένους πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν ἐκ παντὸς πέραν αὐτῶν οἴσω τὴν τροπὴν αὐτῶν εἶπεν κύριος

28 καὶ ἔσται ἡ αὐλὴ διατριβὴ στρουθῶν καὶ ἄβατος ἕως αἰῶνος οὐ μὴ καθίσῃ ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπος καὶ οὐ μὴ κατοικήσῃ ἐκεῖ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου

29 τῇ Δαμασκῷ κατῃσχύνθη Ημαθ καὶ Αρφαδ ὅτι ἤκουσαν ἀκοὴν πονηράν ἐξέστησαν ἐθυμώθησαν ἀναπαύσασθαι οὐ μὴ δύνωνται

30 ἐξελύθη Δαμασκός ἀπεστράφη εἰς φυγήν τρόμος ἐπελάβετο αὐτῆς

31 πῶς οὐχὶ ἐγκατέλιπεν πόλιν ἐμήν κώμην ἠγάπησαν

32 διὰ τοῦτο πεσοῦνται νεανίσκοι ἐν πλατείαις σου καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ πολεμισταί σου πεσοῦνται φησὶν κύριος

33 καὶ καύσω πῦρ ἐν τείχει Δαμασκοῦ καὶ καταφάγεται ἄμφοδα υἱοῦ Αδερ

‎1 ‏הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֣ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃

‎2 ‏כֹּֽה־אָמַ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר כְּתָב־לְךָ֗ אֵ֧ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֛ים אֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי אֵלֶ֖יךָ אֶל־סֵֽפֶר׃

‎3 ‏כִּ֠י הִנֵּ֨ה יָמִ֤ים בָּאִים֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְ֠שַׁבְתִּי אֶת־שְׁב֨וּת עַמִּ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וִֽיהוּדָ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֗ים אֶל־הָאָ֛רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥תִּי לַאֲבוֹתָ֖ם וִֽירֵשֽׁוּהָ׃ פ

‎4 ‏וְאֵ֣לֶּה הַדְּבָרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְאֶל־יְהוּדָֽה׃

‎5 ‏כִּי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חֲרָדָ֖ה שָׁמָ֑עְנוּ פַּ֖חַד וְאֵ֥ין שָׁלֽוֹם׃

‎6 ‏שַׁאֲלוּ־נָ֣א וּרְא֔וּ אִם־יֹלֵ֖ד זָכָ֑ר מַדּוּעַ֩ רָאִ֨יתִי כָל־גֶּ֜בֶר יָדָ֤יו עַל־חֲלָצָיו֙ כַּיּ֣וֹלֵדָ֔ה וְנֶהֶפְכ֥וּ כָל־פָּנִ֖ים לְיֵרָקֽוֹן׃

‎7 ‏ה֗וֹי כִּ֥י גָד֛וֹל הַיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא מֵאַ֣יִן כָּמֹ֑הוּ וְעֵֽת־צָרָ֥ה הִיא֙ לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וּמִמֶּ֖נָּה יִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃

‎8 ‏וְהָיָה֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא נְאֻ֣ם׀ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת אֶשְׁבֹּ֤ר עֻלּוֹ֙ מֵעַ֣ל צַוָּארֶ֔ךָ וּמוֹסְרוֹתֶ֖יךָ אֲנַתֵּ֑ק וְלֹא־יַעַבְדוּ־ב֥וֹ ע֖וֹד זָרִֽים׃

‎9 ‏וְעָ֣בְד֔וּ אֵ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם וְאֵת֙ דָּוִ֣ד מַלְכָּ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָקִ֖ים לָהֶֽם׃ ס

‎10 ‏וְאַתָּ֡ה אַל־תִּירָא֩ עַבְדִּ֨י יַעֲקֹ֤ב נְאֻם־יְהוָֹה֙ וְאַל־תֵּחַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּ֠י הִנְנִ֤י מוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֙ מֵֽרָח֔וֹק וְאֶֽת־זַרְעֲךָ֖ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ שִׁבְיָ֑ם וְשָׁ֧ב יַעֲקֹ֛ב וְשָׁקַ֥ט וְשַׁאֲנַ֖ן וְאֵ֥ין מַחֲרִֽיד׃

‎11 ‏כִּֽי־אִתְּךָ֥ אֲנִ֛י נְאֻם־יְהוָ֖ה לְהֽוֹשִׁיעֶ֑ךָ כִּי֩ אֶעֱשֶׂ֨ה כָלָ֜ה בְּכָֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֣ם׀ אֲשֶׁ֧ר הֲפִצוֹתִ֣יךָ שָּׁ֗ם אַ֤ךְ אֹֽתְךָ֙ לֹֽא־אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה כָלָ֔ה וְיִסַּרְתִּ֙יךָ֙ לַמִּשְׁפָּ֔ט וְנַקֵּ֖ה לֹ֥א אֲנַקֶּֽךָּ׃ פ

‎12 ‏כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהוָ֖ה אָנ֣וּשׁ לְשִׁבְרֵ֑ךְ נַחְלָ֖ה מַכָּתֵֽךְ׃

‎13 ‏אֵֽין־דָּ֥ן דִּינֵ֖ךְ לְמָז֑וֹר רְפֻא֥וֹת תְּעָלָ֖ה אֵ֥ין לָֽךְ׃

‎14 ‏כָּל־מְאַהֲבַ֣יִךְ שְׁכֵח֔וּךְ אוֹתָ֖ךְ לֹ֣א יִדְרֹ֑שׁוּ כִּי֩ מַכַּ֨ת אוֹיֵ֤ב הִכִּיתִיךְ֙ מוּסַ֣ר אַכְזָרִ֔י עַ֚ל רֹ֣ב עֲוֹנֵ֔ךְ עָצְמ֖וּ חַטֹּאתָֽיִךְ׃

‎15 ‏מַה־תִּזְעַק֙ עַל־שִׁבְרֵ֔ךְ אָנ֖וּשׁ מַכְאֹבֵ֑ךְ עַ֣ל׀ רֹ֣ב עֲוֹנֵ֗ךְ עָֽצְמוּ֙ חַטֹּאתַ֔יִךְ עָשִׂ֥יתִי אֵ֖לֶּה לָֽךְ׃

‎16 ‏לָכֵ֞ן כָּל־אֹכְלַ֙יִךְ֙ יֵאָכֵ֔לוּ וְכָל־צָרַ֥יִךְ כֻּלָּ֖ם בַּשְּׁבִ֣י יֵלֵ֑כוּ וְהָי֤וּ שֹׁאסַ֙יִךְ֙ לִמְשִׁסָּ֔ה וְכָל־בֹּזְזַ֖יִךְ אֶתֵּ֥ן לָבַֽז׃

‎17 ‏כִּי֩ אַעֲלֶ֨ה אֲרֻכָ֥ה לָ֛ךְ וּמִמַּכּוֹתַ֥יִךְ אֶרְפָּאֵ֖ךְ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י נִדָּחָה֙ קָ֣רְאוּ לָ֔ךְ צִיּ֣וֹן הִ֔יא דֹּרֵ֖שׁ אֵ֥ין לָֽהּ׃ ס

‎18 ‏כֹּ֣ה׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה הִנְנִי־שָׁב֙ שְׁבוּת֙ אָהֳלֵ֣י יַֽעֲק֔וֹב וּמִשְׁכְּנֹתָ֖יו אֲרַחֵ֑ם וְנִבְנְתָ֥ה עִיר֙ עַל־תִּלָּ֔הּ וְאַרְמ֖וֹן עַל־מִשְׁפָּט֥וֹ יֵשֵֽׁב׃

‎19 ‏וְיָצָ֥א מֵהֶ֛ם תּוֹדָ֖ה וְק֣וֹל מְשַׂחֲקִ֑ים וְהִרְבִּתִים֙ וְלֹ֣א יִמְעָ֔טוּ וְהִכְבַּדְתִּ֖ים וְלֹ֥א יִצְעָֽרוּ׃

‎20 ‏וְהָי֤וּ בָנָיו֙ כְּקֶ֔דֶם וַעֲדָת֖וֹ לְפָנַ֣י תִּכּ֑וֹן וּפָ֣קַדְתִּ֔י עַ֖ל כָּל־לֹחֲצָֽיו׃

‎21 ‏וְהָיָ֨ה אַדִּיר֜וֹ מִמֶּ֗נּוּ וּמֹֽשְׁלוֹ֙ מִקִּרְבּ֣וֹ יֵצֵ֔א וְהִקְרַבְתִּ֖יו וְנִגַּ֣שׁ אֵלָ֑י כִּי֩ מִ֨י הוּא־זֶ֜ה עָרַ֧ב אֶת־לִבּ֛וֹ לָגֶ֥שֶׁת אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃

‎22 ‏וִהְיִ֥יתֶם לִ֖י לְעָ֑ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ ס

‎23 ‏הִנֵּ֣ה׀ סַעֲרַ֣ת יְהוָ֗ה חֵמָה֙ יָֽצְאָ֔ה סַ֖עַר מִתְגּוֹרֵ֑ר עַ֛ל רֹ֥אשׁ רְשָׁעִ֖ים יָחֽוּל׃

‎24 ‏לֹ֣א יָשׁ֗וּב חֲרוֹן֙ אַף־יְהוָ֔ה עַד־עֲשֹׂת֥וֹ וְעַד־הֲקִימ֖וֹ מְזִמּ֣וֹת לִבּ֑וֹ בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית הַיָּמִ֖ים תִּתְבּ֥וֹנְנוּ בָֽהּ׃

Vul

1 Hoc verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino, dicens:

2 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël, dicens: Scribe tibi omnia verba quæ locutus sum ad te, in libro.

3 Ecce enim dies veniunt, dicit Dominus, et convertam conversionem populi mei Israël et Juda, ait Dominus: et convertam eos ad terram quam dedi patribus eorum, et possidebunt eam.

4 Et hæc verba quæ locutus est Dominus ad Israël et ad Judam:

5 [Quoniam hæc dicit Dominus:
Vocem terroris audivimus:
formido, et non est pax.

6 Interrogate, et videte si generat masculus:
quare ergo vidi omnis viri manum
super lumbum suum, quasi parturientis,
et conversæ sunt universæ facies in auruginem?

7 Væ! quia magna dies illa,
nec est similis ejus:
tempusque tribulationis est Jacob,
et ex ipso salvabitur.

8 Et erit in die illa, ait Dominus exercituum:
conteram jugum ejus de collo tuo,
et vincula ejus dirumpam,
et non dominabuntur ei amplius alieni:

9 sed servient Domino Deo suo,
et David regi suo,
quem suscitabo eis.

10 Tu ergo ne timeas, serve meus Jacob, ait Dominus,
neque paveas, Israël:
quia ecce ego salvabo te de terra longinqua,
et semen tuum de terra captivitatis eorum:
et revertetur Jacob, et quiescet,
et cunctis affluet bonis, et non erit quem formidet:

11 quoniam tecum ego sum, ait Dominus, ut salvem te.
Faciam enim consummationem in cunctis gentibus
in quibus dispersi te:
te autem non faciam in consummationem:
sed castigabo te in judicio,
ut non videaris tibi innoxius.

12 Quia hæc dicit Dominus:
Insanabilis fractura tua;
pessima plaga tua:

13 non est qui judicet judicium tuum ad alligandum:
curationum utilitas non est tibi.

14 Omnes amatores tui obliti sunt tui,
teque non quærent:
plaga enim inimici percussi te castigatione crudeli:
propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuæ dura facta sunt peccata tua.

15 Quid clamas super contritione tua?
insanabilis est dolor tuus:
propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuæ,
et propter dura peccata tua,
feci hæc tibi.

16 Propterea omnes qui comedunt te devorabuntur,
et universi hostes tui in captivitatem ducentur:
et qui te vastant vastabuntur,
cunctosque prædatores tuos dabo in prædam.

17 Obducam enim cicatricem tibi,
et a vulneribus tuis sanabo te, dicit Dominus.
Quia ejectam vocaverunt te, Sion:
hæc est, quæ non habebat requirentem.

18 Hæc dicit Dominus:
Ecce ego convertam conversionem tabernaculorum Jacob,
et tectis ejus miserebor:
et ædificabitur civitas in excelso suo,
et templum juxta ordinem suum fundabitur:

19 et egredietur de eis laus,
voxque ludentium.
Et multiplicabo eos, et non minuentur:
et glorificabo eos, et non attenuabuntur.

20 Et erunt filii ejus sicut a principio,
et cœtus ejus coram me permanebit,
et visitabo adversum omnes qui tribulant eum.

21 Et erit dux ejus ex eo,
et princeps de medio ejus producetur:
et applicabo eum, et accedet ad me.
Quis enim iste est qui applicet cor suum
ut appropinquet mihi? ait Dominus:

22 et eritis mihi in populum, et ego ero vobis in Deum.

23 Ecce turbo Domini, furor egrediens, procella ruens:
in capite impiorum conquiescet.

24 Non avertet iram indignationis Dominus,
donec faciat et compleat cogitationem cordis sui:
in novissimo dierum intelligetis ea.]
